SanDisk announces the Mobile Ultra series

The most recent mobile devices are becoming more and more hungry for memory to store pictures, songs or even maps for navigation systems.

To meet these requests, a new line of products for mobile phones has been announced by SanDisk. The new line, named Mobile Ultra, includes microSD, microSDHC and Memory Stick Micro (M2) flash mobile memory cards, which are available in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacity.

To make data easier to move between mobile devices and personal computers, the card is bundled with a MobileMate Micro Reader that plugs directly into a USB 2.0 port.

SanDisk Mobile Ultra memory cards will be available in early June with the following manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP):

  • microSD 2GB - $34.99
  • microSDHC 4GB  - $59.99
  • microSDHC 8GB - $119.99
  • Memory Stick Micro M2 2GB - $39.99
  • Memory Stick Micro M2 4GB - $69.99
  • Memory Stick Micro M2 8GB - $129.99
