Digitimes
reports that prices of 8x and 12x DVD recorders are decreasing as more
and more companies are releasing 16x models. The Taiwanese companies have seen
price cuts of up to 11%. 12x DVD recorders should now cost around 100 USD and 8x
drives around 80 USD when purchased in large quantities from the Taiwanese
