I hate to be the one to report this very disappointing bit of legislation that has spewed forth from the State of California. Much like the stench from a cloud of their famous lung locking smog. In a ruling that must have the bunch over at the MPAA doing double backwards flip flops, 321 Studios has seven days to stop selling their products.

The MPAA had asked the judge to block sales of 321 Studios' DVD X-Copy software, which makes uncompressed digital copies of DVDs, saying the software violated copyright laws. The software company countered that it was simply allowing consumers to make legal backups of the products they had already purchased. A spokesperson for 321 Studios could not be reached for comment. Once again, the consumers rights have been trampled on in the mad rush to maximise profit for big corporations. The billions made at the theaters, coupled with the billions made on rentals and DVD sales is not enough for these money hungry Motion Picture Studios. They must crush the rights of those that wish to use their computers and products they buy as they see fit, even at no personal profit.
Don't care about this ruling, don't use 321 products? Can anyone say precedent?
