321 Studios to fight MPAA in the United Kingdom

Today the
BBC reported
that the MPAA was taking action
against the 321 Studios offices in the
United
Kingdom
. 321 Studios is developer of
DVDxCopy XPRESS, software that allows users to make backups of their DVD discs,
but arguably breaks the copy protection that is on all DVD discs. 321 Studios is
also in a legal battle with the Motion Picture Association of America in the
United States and it
seems now will need to defend itself in two countries.

We asked for a
response from Robert Moore, President and Founder of 321 Studios, about the
latest developments in the
UK and he said 321
Studios will continue to fight against the MPAA: "We intend to fight this action
vehemently and will be defending everyone's rights, just like we do in the
US. We have over one
million customers and when our customers purchase from 321 Studios, they support
their own rights in this digital battle" he said. "321 Studios uses the profits
from the sale of its products to defend against the piracy and theft of our
rights by the Motion Picture and Entertainment Industry, and as long as people
purchase our products, we will continue fighting for their
rights".

The company is currently selling software to make backups of software, and
also to recover any data that might be lost due damages to discs.
