Anime companies are reacting slow to the format war, but ADV Films made a choice for Sony's Blu-ray. It is expected that ADV Films will start releasing high-definition movies for Blu-ray as soon as Spring 2008.
Both BandaiVisual and FUNimation have released movies in both formats, so ADV Films is known as the first to make a choice. After a tough year in 2007 ADV Films tries to regain the support of the mass by making a choice. Their were rumors about ADV's future, and these rumors were not positive.
There is still no outcome on ADV's future. The only thing that we can say is that it will be 'blu'.
