It will burn the CD-R in 24x, the CD-RW in 10x and will read CD in 40x.
For the moment, we haven't got any information about the drive's shipping date and price.
Although I don't like Asus CDRoms this drive might be nice for a reasonable price. I just found out on Asus' website that they only have produced a 8x IDE burner yet. Releasing a 24x drive means that they must have made quite some technological progress. Maybe this drive will really a good product. Maybe not...
