This time ATi decided to play all its cards. Radeon 8500 is supposed to kick NVIDIA's top products were it hurts. Thus Radeon 8500 comes with tons of features as well as an overdose of fill rate and memory bandwidth power. It seems as if ATi decided that this time it's got to be all or nothing. Let's see if the new R200 has the guts and steroids to do the job. |
It also renders old games such as Halflife: Counter Strike Much Much better than ANY Nvidia products to date.
If the Detonator 4 driver wasn't released, the Radeon would be faster than Geforce 3. When Radeon 2's drivers are more mature Radeon will for sure be FASTER than Geforce 3, and to the half of the Geforce 3 price
Nvidia you are close to the 3DFX destiny if you don't stop your monopoly prices.
And with the Kyro 3, and the Bitboys around the corner it sure is VERY pressed
