Mac users running Leopard need to be very careful before purchasing any Adobe Digital Editions e-books, as going by this report, these e-books that are DRM crippled are not compatible with Leopard. This is despite Adobe promising to sort this issue out since November 13th, last year. To make matters worse, some customers unfortunate to have bought and activated such e-books and use Leopard cannot even return these for a refund.
The worst affected so far are students who run Leopard and have forked out on e-books for their studies without realising this issue until it's too late and thus miss out on assignments that they would have otherwise have completed had they bought physical text books from a book store. Most online stores selling Adobe Digital Editions books do not even warn about this either, let alone offer a refund for affected customers.
