CyberDog, gicx and bdgriff all used our news submit to tell us
that the Nero software has made a large leap from 6.0.0.28b to Nero 6.3.0.0. Even Ahead's other packages have jumped up to a x.x.0.0 version. Unlike with previous
updates, Nero has also given an official change-log at the same time and claim
these new changes are major. The main new features are unlimited MP3 and OGG Vorbis encoding encoding/decoding for US customers, usability improvements, AMD 64 bit support as well as hyperthreading support.

Going by their
change-log, it looks as if their OGG vorbis encoder also requires registration
and is available to US customers only. Quite odd as OGG Vorbis is supposed to be
free of any usage or registration restrictions. Hopefully this major update does not introduce any harmful bugs as with the leap from Nero
version 5 to first release of Nero version 6.
