We have received news from the Alcohol development team, the team has succeeded in emulating the latest SecuROM protection from Sony, as discussed many times in our CloneCD and Burning Software Forum. Besides this success they also report that they have succeeded in dumping images of CDs protected with ProtectCD 5 developed by VOB.
Tests performed by CD Freaks have confirmed that it is now possible to run images created with Alcohol 120% and protected by the latest SecuROM from a Virtual CD-ROM drive. The current version is a beta release that has only be released to testers, the official release is scheduled for next week.
