Another RIAA/NYPD "raid"

If
you haven't heard it all then you might get close with this one. The NYPD and
the state of New York have decided to introduce a new category of crime, it's
called "The Quality of Life Crimes". Operation "High Impact" served search
warrants in Troy, Schenectady and Albany New York on
retail locations suspected of selling counterfeit dvd's and music. One man
in Staten Island was killed in one of these raids back in 2003.......so watch
out if you got a bad copy of Star Wars 3....


The entertainment cartels have introduced a new crime category,
in New York at least, and are also helping New York governor George Pataki
with his press statements.


Piracy
is no victimless crime and will be treated with zero tolerance.


Two New York Police Department cops said to
have taken MPAA payoffs to arrest people who allegedly sold counterfeit
DVDs were being investigated by NYPD Internal Affairs.
