External enclosures are a handy way to connect a hard disc drive to a computer through the USB or firewire port and, recently, also through the e-SATA port.
The Antec MX-1 enclosure supports up to 750GB SATA hard disk drives and features a dual interface USB2 and e-SATA, but the most appealing feature is the active cooling system through a fan installed on the lower part of the box.
According to the review published at ThinkComputers, the active cooling system is able to keep temperature about 5-10 degrees Celsius lower than one without the cooling, being at the same time not too noisy. Also speed performance tests and detailed pictures are available in the review.
