Good old jellybelly and petspeed both used our news submit to tell us about this
latest update to the popular AnyDVD program. Among other things, AnyDVD is a nice Add-On for your Home Theater PC. It can prevent
the automatic launch of software from your Video DVDs and can remove unwanted
user prohibitions, like forced subtitles or it lets you skip copyright
messages and FBI Warnings.
What's
New in 4.6.1.2, 2005 03 13:
- Improved CSS key
extraction, if title is additionally protected by Arccos or
Puppetlock
- The irrelevant title sets
on some Arccos protected discs are now completely replaced with dummy
sectors, e.g., "She Hate Me" (UK), "Layer Cake" (UK) or "The Forgotten"
(German). Even if CloneDVD was able to create a copy of these titles,
copying all files from the DVD to the harddrive with Windows Explorer or
Total Commander would fail
- Improved automatic check
for updates
- Updated languages
Bug
Fixes:
- The option to remove
Region Code scripts (RCE protection) could prevent correct playback of
some titles, e.g. "The Simpsons, Season 3" (US) or "The Simpsons, Season
5" (US).- Fix: Bug introduced with AnyDVD 4.5.8.1. Puppetlock was not
correctly removed at the end of some titles, e.g. "Jim Knopf und die
Wilde 13" (German).
- Some minor fixes and
improvements
