AnyDVD v4.5.5.1 adds support for ALPHA DVD protection

socrates007 and vomitator used our news submit to tell us of yet another update to AnyDVD. This is quite a few updates lately it seems!

What's new in this version:

  • Added support for a new version of the "Sony ARccOS protection" as found on "The Forgotten" (US) to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
  • Added support for the "Settec ALPHA-DVD protection" as found on "Old Boy - Final Edition" (Korea) to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
  • Added names of protection (Arccos, Puppetlock, ALPHA-DVD) to information window.
  • Added Video Standard to information window
  • Added option to deactivate the CSS key archive
  • Updated languages

 Changes:

  • Filesystem locking, to fix problems with autoplay
  • Background of settings dialog

Bug Fixes:

  • Information window could show garbage characters
  • Possible program hang
  • Uninstaller could display corrupt strings
  • Some minor fixes and improvements
