Back in August, we reported that Apple Mac users demand 'slow SuperDrive' fix. Apple have now admited a issue may exist. Even with Apple saying that, they havn't offered a solution or workaround. Just that users sould use 2x or 4x DVD-R media.

Says a recently published Apple Knowledge Base entry: "Some earlier PowerBook G4 computers that have a SuperDrive with a 2x DVD-R write speed may not be able to burn 8x DVD-R media reliably. Because of this, you should only use 2x or 4x DVD-R media." |
I'm betting that a petition set-up by angry apple user Steve, had somthing to do with what Apple have now said. You can read the full story here.
