Apple in BMW iPod deal?


GristyMcFisty used our news submit to tell us that Apple may soon announce a tie in deal with car manufacturer BMW.  The deal will see BMW series 3, X3 and X4 models fitted with an Apple iPod adapter this will allow the automobile driver to connect the iPod to the car and control it through the cars audio system and multi function steering wheel.  This means no loss of power or sound quality as well as no loss of steering control.  Apple is currently in talks with various car manufacturers to do the same with DaimlerChrylser already producing a limited version of its Smart car with a 20 Gig Apple iPod in a built in cradle.




Apple may be about to announce a new tie-up with BMW Apple Logo that will see the car manufacturer"s 3 Series, X3 and X4 models fitted with an iPod adapter. MacMinute has obtained a copy of a joint advertisement, saying, "The first seamless integration of iPod and automobile...you can control your iPod through the existing audio system and multi-function steering wheel. Which means no loss of power. No loss of sound quality. And no loss of control."Apple CEO Steve Jobs said yesterday that the company is in talks with several car manufacturers about integrating the iPod. DaimlerChrysler has already produced a limited edition version of its Smart car which includes a 20GB iPod in a built-in cradle.
