GristyMcFisty used our news submit to tell us, a new version of iTunes
is coming and the older versions will not be supported. It is very possible
that they are trying to plug another exploit. This has happened before, Apple's
iTunes allows Macintosh and PC users to play music stored on other PCs on a
network. The music is streamed off the other computer but can't be saved. Then
along came MyTunes, which allowed the streams to be saved to the computer's
hard drive. This is apparently still possible.
Of course Apple is on the defensive, even Real
Networks is trying to horn in on the iPod action with Harmony. This enables their music to play on an iPod. We can expect that Apple is working on this too. Read the whole story over at C|Net.
