After Warner announced that they would exclusively work for Blu-ray everybody thought BBC Video would follow their partner. BBC Video is actually released under Warner's lable.
A BBC spokesman openly stated that BBC Video would continue to support both formats. Better sales of 'Planet Earth' on HD DVD contributed to BBC's controversial decision. Before BBC makes a decision they want to evaluate the marketplace over a longer period.
