BenQ officially announces DVDRW DW1640, DW1625 and EW162U

As a leader of optical storage
manufacturer, BenQ releases three new products in April, bringing benefits for
different users - DVDRW DW1640, DVDRW Light Scribe DW1625 and External DVDRW
EW162U.

BenQ DW1640 aims to bring
you the professional specification with 16X DVD+R/-R, 8X DVD+RW, 6X DVD-RW and
8X DVD+R Double Layer. Building on the reputation of the DW1620 re-writer
series, DW1640 not only provides quality wiriting but also features a
combination of high speed and high capacity, which enables you a fast backup.
The exclusive DCS (Dual Cooling System) effectively reduces the potential for
over-heating during high-speed reading and writing. The leading combination of
speed and quality again proves BenQ's capability of design and
manufacturing.

BenQ DW1625, on the other hand, provides another
feature, adding value to your enjoyment. Equipped with unique Light Scribe
Technologies, it enables users and businesses to easily create customized,
silkscreen-quality labels directly on CDs and DVDs using their own PCs through a
combination of LightScribe-compatible media, recordable optical drives and
enabling software.

Users only need to burn the data , flip the disc and
burn a precise, iridescent label with their desired text and graphics using the
same laser - no printer, no lables requried - this way preserving your
priceless memories.

BenQ also devotes to the external optical
storage. The latest 16X External DVDRW EW162U provides dual interface - USB 2.0
and Serial ATA - for users to enjoy more flexibility in connection. USB 2.0 is
the most popular plug-and-play interface with tremendous ease of use, while
Serial ATA is the latest new technology, providing more stable data transfer and
the capability to connect multiple devices. Hidden under the metallic cold blue
shape, the devices are not only stylish in design but also hot in
specification.

All three models are equipped with Nero 6 Suite
and BenQ's unique Qsuite software. Qsuite is an innovative application hat helps
to optimize your DVDRW and enhances the convenience of your devices. Through
Book Type Management, QScan, Test Write, and WOPC (Walking OPC), users can
easily adjust drive settings to gain more control.

Book Type Management
allows you to freely choose a disc to be written as a DVDROM, which is the most
recognized format for DVD Player. Qscan helps to check the quality of the disc
before writing and advises you on the optimal speed of writing, to prevent the
media from suffering from bad writing. Test Write creates a simulation writing
(before actual writing) on DVD+R/+RW/+R DL media at your discretion. On top of
that, more functions are expected to be added to Qsuite soon.

BenQ not only tries to
provide you with new technologies but also strives to add more value and
increase ease of use. The three new BenQ models have again proved themselves as
delivering true user benefit.

All three models are expected to be
available in April and May in most of the European markets, with MSRP Euro 79
for DW1640, Euro 99 for DW1625, and Euro 129 for EW162U.
