Blockbuster Online has just opened eight new distribution centers across the United States. This latest expansion brings their distribution network for online rentals up to a total of 30 facilities, tripling distribution capacity since Blockbuster Online launched in August 2004, just 9 months ago. DVD movies are hot anyway, but apparently, people really like the convenience of a home delivery!

The new facilities are located in Edison, N.J.; Baton Rouge, La.; Kansas City, Mo.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Louisville, Ky.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Portland, Ore.;and Rochester, N.Y. The high-quality, low-price online DVD rental provider opened 12 additional distribution centers nationwide between November 2004 and January 2005. |
Blockbuster Online is also planning to integrate its online and store-based operations and expects to begin fulfilling online orders through its store network by the end of the year. The goal being as mentioned above, enhanced delivery times and increased cost efficiencies. At the same time, they have increased their online rental library to more than 40,000 titles.
Right now, customers can select their movies online and receive and return unlimited DVD's by mail, up to three movies at a time, with no return dates or late fees, for a monthly fee of $14.99 plus tax. Subscribers also receive two free in-store movie or game rentals per month, redeemable at participating Blockbuster stores. If this sounds good, you can visit Blockbuster to sign up for a free, two-week trial of the three movie out plan.
Of course, if you like your movies by mail too, but Blockbuster is not convenient, visit the Best DVD Rental site. Here you can quickly check for the best deals for online DVD movie purchases in the United states or around Europe as well.
