When Microsoft released the Xbox360, it claimed that DVD's dual-layer 8.5GB capacity is plenty sufficient for any game. Despite the massive storage space available for Playstation 3 developers, it turns out that not even Blu-ray has enough capacity for Metal Gear Sold 4 going by this NeoSeeker report.
According to Kojima Productions' assistant producer, they were not able to feature dual audio tracks for the game language due to how tight they are for space on Blu-ray. Apparently, they are not even satisfied with the quality they can do due to Blu-ray's limited capacity and have even been in discussions in what to cut or compress, likely to avoid splitting the game over an extra disc. It would be interesting to see just how much disc capacity would have been required to satisfy the developers.
