Bravo D3 HD DVD Windows Media 9 capable player

If you thinking of buying a big screen tv or projection system, this player may be of interest, especially if you are considering a DVI interface. Touted as the first DVD player to support Windows Media 9 and HighMAT. At a suggested retail price of US$ 349, the Bravo D3 from V Incorporated looks like a serious consideration.

What makes the Bravo D3 DVD player so great, so above all others? The D3 is the first high definition DVD player capable of playing movies encoded in the Windows Media 9 format and the HighMAT format. The D3 is powered by the EM88620L processor chip made by Sigma Designs, a company well known for their other chip models currently present in DivX/MPEG-4 capable DVD players (eg. Liteon LVD-2001).

These days it is not enough for DVD players to just play back DVD (MPEG-2) encoded video. In order to stay ahead in this competitive market, companies involved in the technology industry must push forward to adapt the new trends and standards. MPEG-4 is a rapidly growing video format and V Inc., a California based company, is doing a great job of setting trends with the Bravo D3 HD DVD player.

The wide range of features of the D3 include playback of DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD, and CD-R/RW. Playback of DVD is available via DVI in high resolution 480p, 1080i, and 720p. MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and WMV 9 playback in high definition.
