CD Freaks Joins UD in their fight against Cancer

There is more than one reason to download the UD Agent and join our Member Community.

It's easy for the average person to feel powerless in the face of the world's more daunting problems. If there were an easy solution to cure cancer or halt global warming, then these problems would be solved by now. But these problems are complex. The analysis is complicated and the research is vast'”and expensive. It's easy to feel powerless to help if you aren't an M.D. or a Ph.D.

United Devices empowers individuals to do something more then just make a financial donation to a research foundation or charity. It allows them to truly participate and make a difference.

This project is similar to the RC5 project we are taking part in, in that the client uses free cpu cycles to work out complex mathematical computations. In the UD project the client uses free CPU cycles to analize certain proteins. The results are then used by physicians and lab technicians in their fight against cancer.

It is not our intention to stop working on the RC5 project nor do we want you to stop, we do feel however that some people do not quite understand the RC5 project or think it is too difficult to set up.

We therefore want to attract members to our UD team who fall into this category and who also think that their CPU cycles are more worthwhile spent on a cancer project than just cracking an encrypted code.
