Jan S. has received for testing an interesting piece of hardware, generously donated to us by Lite-On BV (NL). This time, we have offered to us for inspection, the Lite-On EZ-DUB SHW-1635SU external USB 2.0 writer. This drive will support 16x DVD±R, 8x/6x DVD+RW/DVD-RW and 8x/4X DVD+R DL/DVD-R DL. But in addition to that, the device comes bundled with some integrated software, that enables users to perform some of the more common tasks associated with external burners in an easy and intuitive fashion. Those new to using an optical drive for backup purposes or even the more sophisticated out there, that are simply in a hurry, may find this a combination worth checking out.

As you can see in the above screen shot, this little drive sports a couple of buttons on it's top, that when pressed will invoke some handy software that can get your data backed up in a hurry and with a minimum of fuss!
