Today we would like to present another in our series of optical writer reviews, with a look at the Mad Dog MD-16XDVD9-8X DVD burner. This internal model supports 16x DVD±R speeds, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW and 8x DVD+R9 DL writing as well. In addition, the Mad Dog burner can write to the venerable CD at 48x which isn't too bad. For those RW CD discs they claim a speed of 32X.

The drive comes bundled with Nero, you can find further information on the Mad Dog Multimedia Website. The reviewers that worked on this project found that the drive measured up pretty good for DVD writing and was able to meet it's claim of 16x. Not only that, they think it does a good job with CD media as well, so what's not to like?
