A while ago we introduced our new poll: are you interested in purchasing a double layer drive? The poll is still running but let's take a look at the results up till now. The most important thing seems to be the price of the media. Fortunately more and more companies are starting to produce more and more so prices will eventally drop to an acceptable level. A recent study showed that around 8% of the people are starting to use DL capabilities.

You can vote on the left of the mainpage and give your reaction here. Also an interesting question is whether double layer will last for long as a format. Murray states that DL will not have a long life as 30/50 gb disks will soon be making their appearance. What do you think?
