CD Freaks is proud to release another DVD writer review by The Kipper, this time for the Asus DRW-2014L1T LightScribe DVD burner.
"The newest DVD burner from ASUS incorporates DVD-RAM recording, creating a true DVD Multi drive. Single layer 4.7GB DVD burning is supported at 20X max. Double Layer and Dual Layer Recording speed is 8X max. DVD Rewriteable speeds are 8X max for DVD+RW and 6X max for DVD-RW respectively. DVD-RAM recording is supported at 14X max. Very fast 48X max CD-R burning and 32X max CD-RW."
Those of you that use the DVD-RAM format will appreciate that your 12x DVD-RAM can be read at 12x and written at 14x with this drive. The drive is also SATA - a good thing for those users that have limited PATA connections available. The drive is quiet when operating, and let's not forget that this drive is LightScribe capable, and comes with a comprehensive Nero Burning ROM 7 software suite.
