CD Freaks presents Lite-On 24/10/40X USB 2 review

It took us some time to finish the review but it's finally here: the review of the USB 2.0 24/10/40X drive. The drive is capable of writing at 24X speed, rewriting at 10X speed and read at 40X speed. Here is a part of the conclusion:

Should you get this drive? Yes, if you are in the market for an external drive this one have both good performance, a very attractive design and a nice price. We think Lite-On should also think a bit more on design for their internal CD-RW drives since they are pretty boring designed.

The drive could have had a firmware upgrade to support more of the new types of media but beside that there is not any big negative points with this drive. So we see no reason to give this drive a bad score, overall we feel that this drive deserves a 9 out of 10 score. Why? It does not have any serious issues and is a complete retail package so 8 out of 10 would be a bit low, and it's not perfect enough to get 10 out of 10.
