CD Freaks is proud to present a preview of one of Plextor's latest DVD-ReWriter's, the PX-760A. The drive is the world's first officially released DVD-Burner to feature up to 18x writing speed to both DVD+R and DVD-R media. Like the PX-755A, this drive also features ultra-fast 10x DVD+R DL writing speed as well as 8x/6x DVD+RW/DVD-RW writing and 6x DVD-R DL writing. For CD writing, this drive features up to 48x CD-R and 24x CD-RW writing.
As with Plextor's other professional DVD burners, this drive features PlexEraser - a "Digital Shredder", which overwrites CD-R and DVD±R media to render the media unusable, SecureRecording to write password protect protected CD-R's and Silent mode to reduce access rates, spindle speed and tray-motor speed to make to drive virtually silent. Finally, the drive also features various professional CD-R writing features from its original CD burner series including VarRec to manually adjust the default laser power, Q-Check media diagnostics and PowerRec to optimise laser power & writing speed for optimum writing.
