Yesterday LG announced their newest external Blu-ray burner at CeBIT in Hannover. The LG BE06LU is an hybrid drive, which means it can handle both HD DVD as Blu-ray. The external drive's stylish look is created by a good mixture of both black and white.
The external drive offers 6x burning for single layer BD-R discs and 2x for BD-RE. To create a client-friendly atmosphere the Korean company made a choice to make this product hybrid, which means it offers 3X reading for HD DVD-ROM. Other formats like DVD-RAM, DVD and CD work fine too.
Everybody in Europe can now get this product for €400. Hopefully today will bring lower priced systems at CeBIT.
