Whilst ambling through the 2005 CES, you always keep your eye out for innovative products. I happened upon this little gem of an idea and thought I would pass it on. This is an all-in-one, plug and play portabe DLP projection system. It features an integral DVD player, speakers and even a detached subwoofer. This would be ideal if you are just living in an apartment or are even in a dorm room, whatever, you can just whip this puppy out and in minutes, you are watching your movies on the big screen. Just tell your buddies or significant other to bring the popcorn and beer.

In the box you get besides the projector of course, subwoofer and cable, video cable adapters, the remote, user manual and the infamous quick start guide. Accessories include a 55, 92 or 106 inch screen - even a 55 inch portable screen. In addition they offer a soft or hard carrying case NTSC or HD tuners. MSRP on this setup is 1249.99 w/tilt platform. Throw in an extra 50 bucks for a 55 inch diagonal screen. Not too bad. These projection units will be available excusively at Radio Shack beginning this spring. This is no surprise really as it is Texas Instruments that came up with this exciting DLP technology.
I guess it's no surprise either that this little unit was named as a CES Best of Innovations 2005 Honoree. It comes with a 2 year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use; lamp warranty of 90 days or 500 hours.
