Shadowman and InSOMniA used our newssubmit to tell us that ClonyXXL has been released.
Clony is software that is able to detect the copy protection of a CD. When you know the protection you can take the appropiate actions to bypass it, such as passing the right read and write settings to CloneCD.
I translated the changelog a little:
Changelog ClonyXXL: |
ClonyXXL doesn't need ASPI drivers in Windows2000/XP. When incompatible ASPI drivers are installed Clony will notice this and disable the support for them.
ASPI drivers can be enabled and disabled in the option menu. Without ASPI drivers not all functions are available.
Detects Securom new (not on every CD)
ClonyXXL has 3 three scan modes, normal, longer and complete.
Detects PhenoProtekt.
Detects Key2Audio (with the right drive)
Scanning for illegal sectors improved.
Support for Virtual CD-ROM drives, so you can now also scan CloneCD images.
More possibilities to detect the right protection.
Read and write settings up to date with latest CloneCD
Removed TCCD button. Added 3 new buttons that you can use however you like.
ClonyXXL has a drive list that tells you if what drives are able to handle SafeDisc V2
Easier
ClonyXXL is the best version of Clony ever, with a lot of improvements and new features. Unfortunately it's only in german and according to the author there will be no version in other languages.
For help I would like to recommend our CloneCD Forum.
