There are hundreds of different MP3 players available on the consumer market, and most of them are somewhat similar to every other product available.

To differentiate itself from other MP3 players, Rhea Jeong has created a new MP3 player that displays its playlist using colors. The different colors on the MP3 player reprsent a different music category, which is an interesting idea, though I am doubtful it will be able to become popular in the United States.

For example, purple represents "power," while red is "funky," green is "mellow," and orange is "sweet" music. Owners who want to play music from multiple genres simply have to click the different colors, and it will create a quick playlist.
The Colorsonic MP3 player is currently in project phase, and it's unknown when interested shoppers will be able to purchase it on the market, if ever.
Jeong first thought of the Colorsonic MP3 player while he was working at Samsung on an internship, and hopefully, if it works properly, it's something Samsung would be interested in developing.
