A news posted on HDTV UK shows how Cyberlink's PowerDVD Ultra software is not working as it should. Some people complained that Hi Definition playback is not working even if the hardware is compliant with minimum specifications required.
But what is annoying more these users is the very poor support offered by Cyberlink, as can be read in their forum:
They have only a pay support phone line, all their other phone numbers are disconnected or on an answering machine. I have filed complaints online with their "support options" and received no replies.
However, it is interesting also the comment on the HDTV article:
It sems as if Cyberlink is an unfortunate victim of the mess of high definition 'standards' that we have at present.
I wonder when (or, better, IF) the mess in currently available formats will end someday...
