M_F used our news submit to tell us
about this latest release from DVD Cloner. According to the website, this
software can help you to back up yor DVD movies. They post some percentages
that indicate what happens to a lot of DVD's over a three year period: 24%
accidentally damaged by children or pets, 25% naturally worn or damaged by
defective DVD player, 25% lost, (D'oh!) 13% become unusable itself or
by unfavorable weather and finally, the dreaded; 13% others. Well, I
don't know where they dug up those figures, but it doesn't matter. If you do
screw up a DVD, you are out of luck unless it's your backup.

The site has been very slow all day but, if you are
able to access it, they have a promotion going on until August the 15th. First,
they have lowered the price to $ 59.99 US, but they will also throw
in DVD-TO-AVI, DVD-TO-MPEG, DVD-TO-SVCD for free.
I said it before and I'll say it again, that kid on
the box looks like trouble to me! Plus, who are those guys behind him... HaXoRs?
I think so!
