DVD Identifier 3.6.3.1 features minor update

Kris Schoofs, author of DVD Identifier, kindly dropped us a line today letting us know he updated his program to take care of a small, but annoying (at least to him) problem.

What's New in DVD Identifier V3.6.3.1 [May-01-2005]:

  • Fixed some incorrect values in the 'media code'-block hex-dump of dvd-r/-rw media (Disc physical code & Last address of data area). Note that this problem only affects the hex-dump and has no consequences for the actual disc identification.

This program retrieves and interprets the pre-recorded information that is present on all dvd media (DVD+R, DVD+R DL, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM). This information contains a variety of parameters such as disc manufacturing information and supported write speeds. Even though this information is usually printed on the packaging, the brand name may differ from the actual manufacturer or sometimes there might not even be any packaging information at all.

Thanks for the heads up on this update Kris, we appreciate it.
