DVD Region+CSS Free 5.9.2.0 improves Sony ARccOS protection removal

DVDIdle has decided to improve improve the Sony ARccOS removal of its DVD Region+CSS Free software in a way which we haven't seen in other applications before. By changing the way to fill up unreadable sectors on ARccOS protected DVDs, the company hopes to improve the copy software compatibility of the DVD Region+CSS Free.

fengtao, who used our news submit  to inform us about these latest changes added also the following explaination: I need to explain why we use "DVD-Video" as the default way to fill the unreadable sectors (not the "All Zero" which the competitors use). The DVD copy software is totally unlike DVD player software, every DVD copy software uses it"s own way to parse/read DVD structure and recover from errors. "All Zero" is not valid DVD structure, so some DVD copy software will fail when reading it. By providing "DVD-Video" data, we can make sure almost all DVD copy software parse/read it ok.

  • Update: Better Sony ARccOS protection removal.
  • New: Options for removing Sony ARccOS protection. You can choose if "Remove Protection from IFO files", and choose from "DVD-Video Data", "All Zero" and "Padding Data" to fill unreadable sectors.
  • Update: Better "DVD-Video Data" simulation for unreadable sectors, now it can be accepted by almost all DVD copy software. (For DVD player software, it's easy to be compatible, even "All Zero" is ok)
