Yesterday we reported that the DVDxCopy team had been expanded with 'Derrow', author of several freeware DVD applications such as IFOEdit, DVD Split and VOBEdit.
It seems the author has decided to stop development of his old tools and because of that registered members of his DVD Split software will get a copy of DVDxCopy for free. Our thanks goes to RasH_2K (who spotted this news on CDR-Zone) and mikron for forwarding us the e-mail with the announcement:

Hello,
I have a very nice surprise for all who purchased DVDSplit. Robert H. Moore, President of 321Studios made the decision to give you a nice Christmas present, which will be DVDXCopy for free. This offer is only for current DVDSplit
customers.
That is because I will put now all my efforts into DVDXCopy development, and I don't have the time to do further developments on my old products. Besides, the new DVDXCopy really kicks ass, and is currently even better then my old tools.
It wouldn't make sense to develop two products parallel with the same functionality. So I'm really glad, that Robert H. Moore made this offer, and I don't need to disappoint you.
Thank you for your support and Merry Christmas!
Derrow
So it's bad news for people that are using the old tools such as DVD Split but on the other hand they will now get a free copy of DVDxCopy which normally costs $99,99. Not a bad deal! Remember to check out our DVD Software Forum to discuss and learn more about the DVDxCopy software.
