DVD X Copy XPRESS v2.5.0 has been released, introduces TDF files

321 Studios has updated their very popular DVDxCopy XPRESS software. The software is intended to make backups of DVD movies, and the company got a lot of publicity by sueing the movie studios to fight for consumers rights who want to be able to make backups of movies. The latest version of DVD X Copy XPRESS is now v2.5.0. This version fixes some bugs and introduces a new technology introduced by 321 Studios called "Title Definition Format" (TDF).

TDF files contain setup instructions that tell DVD X Copy XPRESS how to back up a DVD movie and are intended to be used only to fix incorrect titleset selections made by DVD X Copy XPRESS and DVD authoring problems inherent in some DVD movies. Here is the entire changelog:

  • Driver installation and un-installation has been enhanced.
  • DVD X Copy XPRESS now has TDF file support.
  • TDF files will auto load if found in the TDF subfolder of XPRESS when the movie is inserted.
  • Some subtitle errors have been corrected.
  • The 1337 error has been researched and corrected.
  • DVD X Copy XPRESS will now check to make sure you have enough free space in your temp folder.
  • The reading has been improved.
  • You can now set custom Audio Sound when reading and writing iscomplete, (refer to FAQ for information).
  • New Start Menu shortcuts for support and TDF file Information
