Along with the dramatically growth for demand in this year, the DVDR OEM price could be increased for 10% in the forth season said a DVDR manufacturer from Hong Kong. They pointed out that, the global demand of DVDR in this year could be achieved to 4,6 billion pieces, which surpassed 100% by comparing to 2 billion pieces of last year.
Due to the oversupply in last year, there are only a few DVDR manufacturers expanding their production lines. And those supplies are mainly coming from the modification of CDR production lines; however, the re-modification schedule is going to be finished.
On the other hand, the global demand reaches to the peak in the last quarter of 2005, and it leads to a phenomenon of shortage in supply. Owning to the excess demand, this situation will be last till the Q3 of 2006, so the DVDR price is expected that to be further increased for the coming season.
