Defiant.ws in the face of the MPAA

It
appears that at least one torrent site has decided to go against and try
to give file sharers a new way to download torrents. To stay on the thin
grey line of "legal" online downloading, Defiant.ws decided not
to host the torrent files at their server, they just link the tracker
info from the homepage of the torrent.

The site itself is rather brand new and doesn't
have categories and such but it does have the basic search function. You can
search for the torrent name or the file names contained inside each torrent
file. Only time will tell if this new means of downloading torrents will bring
the MPAA out of their cave and start legal action or it will give them new ways
to lobby new laws to stop torrent downloading......again.

Having
tired of the problems users face with Torrent search sites, a former
Torrentz.com developer has created a website he promises will provide a
better customer experience, Defiant.

Because of this, Defiant.ws does not leech
Torrents, giving other site owners full credit for the Torrent coupled
with the chance to display the usually
advertisements.

Defiant is like the Google search engine, but even less than that.
Google links directly to torrents, I don't.
