Disney adds their soundtracks to Apple iTunes

According to the
BBC , movie studio Disney has decided to start distributing their film soundtracks exclusively on Apple iTunes Music download service until September, after that songs could appear on other music services.  It will include many of their hit soundtracks from various movies including Finding Nemo, Toy Story and the Lion King.  According to the president and general manager of Buena Vista Music Group (BVMG) David Agnew "We are proud to offer a way for customers to easily own the
classic and contemporary Disney music they know and love."

Movie studio Disney has added its classic movie soundtracks to films such as Mary Poppins to Apple"s iTunes music download service. Music from movies including recent Pixar hits Toy Story and Finding Nemo will be available exclusively on the site until September. After that, they may also be available on other online retail sites. Apple"s service is run by Steve Jobs, who also runs Pixar Studios - which recently broke off a deal with Disney. Other soundtracks available on the Disney page within the iTunes Music Store will include the soundtracks from animated films such as Alice in Wonderland, The Lion King, Snow White and The Little Mermaid.

If Apple iTunes/Disney market these soundtracks additions correctly, they could be on to winner sales wise.  These films were great success with children and adults alike and many children would love to have the soundtrack from their favourite Disney film.
