Dutch Legal Yeahronimo 'Napster' launch in 6 months..

In 6 months the Dutch music network Yeahronimo will be launched. They say they will become #1 in europe.

It will be launched by 'Wisseloord Studio's' in Hilversum (Netherlands! ), and has the support of all big record labels and the BUMA/Stemra & Sena (the RIAA of the Netherlands). Users will have to pay 1 euro for each song they download.

Yeahronimo will start in February 2001 and offers 2 million music songs. They have been working on this for over 2 years!

Record labels agreed because they offer a SECURE music download. This means downloaded music files can't be copieed. They use Digital Rights Management (DRM) & WMA for this.

My comments: 1 euro a song?? If you take a CD with 18 songs it will cost you 18 euro or 40 dutch guilders or 16 US dollar... That no cheaper then a normal CD in the store!?!?!

Also: can't be copied? We'll see about that...

1 euro, pff, they lost it I think...
