DISH network tries to keep spirits high and isn't be any means planning to throw in the towel. The network had many HD plans ready, but some thought that the satellite's failure created financial liability. The company has just announced that all plans are still the same and that the satellite problems will not "incur any financial liability, and its plans to offer more high-definition video programs are on track."
Besides the failed satellite DISH still plans to launch two other satellites this year. It's expected that these two will still be capable of boosting DISH's HD programming line-up. Of course these two can't handle anymore failures since this would mean the end of DISH's boosting plans.
Of course we've heard the discussion around these plans too many times, so hopefully we can now end this once and for all.
