Another newssubmit by RASTABT as this time he let's us know that a new version of Fantom CD has been released:
- The pre-mastering function that everyone has been waiting for has finally been added to this version. You can now build ISO/Joliet images and make a bootable disc now.
- The "Copy Wizard" has also been added to this version. You can now backup discs on the fly.
- The "Default Device Control Interface" option has been added to keep other recording software packages from distributing writing commands to Fantom CD. This new feature will bypass the following problems:
--a. Interference from other recording software packages, such as DirectCD
--b. Allow non- admin users to use Fantom CD in Windows NT/2000/XP
- Added the "Examine the accuracy of data read from physical device" option that will display each position of BAD sectors on the disc.
- Fantom CD will measure the average/real-time speed while dumping/recording.
- Support added for most CUE/BIN file formats (except MP3, AIFF and MOTOROLA).
- Added "Rescan all CD/DVD devices" function.
- You can read DVD-R/DVD-RW disc detail information such as manafacture via "CD/DVD Manager" now.
- Changed the "Turn off Justspeed if possible" option to "Turn off JustSpeed/Optimum Write Speed if possible". ("Optimum Write Speed" is the new feature of YAMAHA CD Recorders)
- WinXP style ICON set. (I think I will do a SKIN changable interface)
- Added support for many new 32x/40x CD-R/RW/DVD-R/RW/+RW recorders. You can find the supported devices list of Fantom CD here.
