Some people may have encountered this problem: starting with FireBurner version 2.0.5 is has become extremely slow in some cases (e.g. a 16x Plextor burner burning a 650MB CD-R in 50 minutes!) but IgD is working on a solution:
Good news. I've finally been able to successfully reproduce the "slow" problem. This problem was introduced in versions 2.0.5 and 2.0.6 of FB and causes burns to go extremely slow. The problem only seems to affect Win 98 systems. FB 2.0.5 and 2.0.6 run flawlessly on Win 2K and Linux. I have to try to fix the problem without breaking the cross-platform nature of the code which will be difficult |
So if you're having this problems stay tuned for the new release! Oh btw: I'm having the same problems with my Plextor 12x burner on a WinME based system
