As expected a new FireBurner version is out now fixing the slow problem that could occur on some machines:

- Fixed "slow" problem on Win 9x machines. Have been able to burn at 24X on my Win 98 box. The fix required significant redesign of caching system.
- Selection of default recording method now smarter.
- Selection of default burning speed now "MAX" instead of max burning speed reported by drive.
- Greatly improved support for large fonts.
- Improved efficiency of status screen updating routines.
The "slow" bug was particularly difficult because the same code that was affected on Win 9X had different behavior on Win NT, 2K and Linux!
To update just replace the old executable on your system with a new one from the FireBurner downloads page.
