First-ever laser-powered TV: LaserVue

With April underway Mitsubishi now announces their new multidimensional HDTVs for 2008. Besides new HDTVs, the company came with more information about their recently announced Laser TV which is branded as LaserVue.

At first the company told more aboout their new DLP HDTVs. Also in this year the company will continue to lead the market with the largest DLP HDTV available at 73". Three new DLP HDTVs will be introduced at this size along with models ranging from 60" to 65" sizes. All TVs feature thinner frames, 3D readiness and increased brightness. A special line, the diamond collection, includes Smooth 120Hz to optimize fast scenes from your movie collection and Dark Detailer for higher contrast imagery.

Secondly the company introduces seven new 1080p LCD HDTVs ranging from 40" to 52". All frame widths are reduced by more than ten percent. Thinner frames are becoming more and more important since everyone wants to have a 21st century living room... Other new features include low-profile speakers offering improved sound, Smooth 120Hz Film Motion and GalleryPlayer technology.

Last January Mitsubishi announced their newest LaserTV at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Now we know the TV's name... LaserVue. Mitsubishi promises that the world's first-ever laser-powered television will deliver a range of colour that's never seen in home entertainment before.

The new DLP HDTVs will be available this month, and the LCD HDTVs can be expected in May. LaserVue is planned for shipping in Q3 2008.
