Five free Blu-ray movie promotion continues

Yes, the format battle is going to pay off for consumers, both camps are battling for our livingroom and to seduce us to buy their equipment, they give away free stuff. Of course the stuff isn't that free, players of both camps are still expensive and if you get stuff from the camp that is losing the battle you might end up with a player that becomes useless over time.

While we reported yesterday that the HD-DVD camp is giving away nine free discs with a Toshiba HD-DVD player today we can report that the Blu-ray camp is continuing their promotion. Consumers who purchase any qualifying Blu-ray player, including the Playstation , between October 1, 2007 and January 31, 2008, will be able to choose five free Blu-ray movies from among 18 titles

The 18 titles offered are: Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Wild Hogs, American Psycho, Chain Reaction, The Devil's Rejects, Flight of the Phoenix, Full Metal Jacket, Hart's War, The Last Waltz, Omen 666, The Patriot, The Prestige, Species, Stir of Echoes, Superman: The Movie, SWAT, Swordfish and Ultraviolet. These Blu-ray Discs will be available via mail-in redemption.
