Further Nintendo Wii info trickles out to the Internet

GristyMcFisty used our news submit to tell us some new US launch
details hitting the Internet on the upcoming Nintendo Wii. Apparently, this
information was leaked prior to a press conference, scheduled for later
today.

Seth Schiesel of the New York Times has insider sources who have stated that Nintendo plan to announce today that it will release the Wii in the United States on November the 19th, and that the machine will cost $250.

The Seattle Post-Intelligence confirmed to
Nintendo Wii Fanboy that the article was posted in the NYT wire but
quickly pulled. It was also pulled and then republished on PI"s website,
but now remains in its original published form. You can read it here.

Hmm, $250 bucks, sure sounds attractive these days in
comparison to the other gaming platform solutions that are upcoming or here
already. We have to wonder how well this product could be received, if they can
come up with some fun to play games. As many have said here time and again, it
ain't all about graphics, it's all about game play. This information posted at
the Inquirer is just rumor of course and even they remark that the date really
puts the information under the spotlight. November 19 is a Sunday, which seems
an odd day to begin marketing a new product. Much more information is
available over at The Inquirer.
